Possibly the hottest player golf has ever seen, Sophie Horn was Norfolk County Champion three years running, and won the Under-21 title at age 15. A 4-handicapper, the multi-talented Brit became GQ Magazine’s resident golf expert in July this year, contributing articles, interviews, reviews and instruction.

 

 

OLIVER JOHN WILSON

Turning pro in 2003, Englishman Oliver Wilson
plays on the European Tour and was a member of
the 2008 European Ryder Cup squad. Though
winless to date, Oliver managed to land numerous
second place finishes including the 2008 BMW
PGA Championship and the 2010 HSBC
Champions. He has a degree in psychology and
enjoys sports, music and fitness.

AARON JOHN BADDELEY

Born in Lebanon, New Hampshire, Aaron Baddeley

Born in Mountain View, California, Paula Creamer
started golf at age 10, picking up 19 national titles in her
amateur career. The Leo, the only child of an airline pilot
dad and stay-at-home mom, has 11 professional wins to
date, with the most recent being her first-career Major at
the 2010 US Women’s Open.

 

BLAIR O’NEAL

Age: 30 Height: 5’ 10”
Residence: Scottsdale, Arizona
Marital Status: Single
Turning pro in 2004, Blair O’Neal was
named ‘One of the Hottest 50 Athletes
of All-Time’ in 2008 by Sports
Illustrated and one of the ‘Top 10
Sexiest Women in Sports’ by Men’s
Health Magazine in 2011. The Illinoisnative
competed on Golf Channel’s Big
Break: Dominican Republic in 2010,
where she won, and received an
exemption to this year’s LPGA Kia

Winner of the Golf Channel’s Big Break: Sandals
Resorts, Carling Coffing hopes to get a full LPGA
card by 2013. The American brunette has had type
1 diabetes for 20 years and wears an insulin pump
24 hours per day. “I always donate a percentage of
my earnings to the Juvenile Diabetes Research
Foundation (JDRF) in hopes for a cure,” she says.

 

JOHAN EDFORS

Age: 36 Height: 6’ ½”
Residence: Dubai, UAE
Marital Status: Married
An established player on the European Tour,
Johan Edfors has been going strong since turning
pro in 1997. Always a stand-out on the course
with his colour-coordinated attire, the 36-year-old
Swede has seven professional wins and is known
for being a big hitter, averaging over 300 yards.

 

SO YEON RYU

Age: 21 Height: 5’ 6”
Residence: Seoul, South Korea
Marital Status: Single
Turning pro in 2007 at age 17, So Yeon Ryu’s
first win as a pro came the following year on
the American Cactus Tour. The junior at Yonsei
University near Seoul stunned the world when
she won the 2011 US Women’s Open for her
first LPGA title.

 

MATTEO MANASSERO

Age: 18 Height: 5’ 11”
Residence: Verona, Italy
Marital Status: Single
Italian prodigy Matteo Manassero became the
youngest winner in European Tour history when
he captured the Castelló Masters Costa Azahar in
October 2010 at 17 years and 188 days. Matteo
claimed his second professional win at the 2011
Maybank Malaysian Open at KLGCC.

 

OSKAR KARL HENNINGSSON

Taking up golf at age eight, Oskar Henningsson
turned pro in 2004. The ice hockey fan won his
first European Tour title at the 2009 Moravia
Silesia Open in the Czech Republic. The 26-yearold
Swede enjoys reading philosophical and
historical works in his spare time.

 

BEATRIZ RECARI ERANSUS

Beatriz Recari enjoyed a successful amateur career,
winning the 2004 Spanish Amateur Championship
and the 2005 French Amateur Championship. A fan
of tennis and cross-country skiing, the Spanish beauty
won her first LPGA Tour Title at the CVS/pharmacy
LPGA Challenge in 2010.

 

MARTIN KAYMER

‘Tall, dark and handsome’ has a name – and it’s
Martin Kaymer. Playing on the European Tour since
2005, this former World No 1 won his first WGC title
at the WGC-HSBC Champions event in Shanghai,
China last month. The Capricorn’s non-golf interests

Florida-native Nicole Hage plays on the LPGA Tour,
with her best finish being tied 28th at the 2011 LPGA
State Farm Classic. “I’m always 15 to 20 minutes early
anywhere – if I’m ever late, I’m missing, so call the
cops!” she jokes. “In the off season, I’m planning on
focusing on my fitness and my pre round/tournament
mental preparation for next year.”

 

TOM LEWIS

Age: 20 Height: 5’ 10”
Residence: Welwyn Garden City, England
Marital status: Single
As a young dyslexic boy, Tom Lewis day-dreamed
about ditching classrooms and winning golf
tournaments. Sure enough, Tom won his first title
in this year’s Portugal Masters after playing in just
three tournaments as a professional.

 

SERGIO GARCIA

Age: 31 Height: 5’ 10”
Residence: Castellon, Spain
Marital Status: Single
Sergio Garcia began playing golf at age three, mentored
by his father, Victor. Currently playing on the PGA and
European Tours, the 31-year-old Spanish bachelor with
22 wins to date has been romantically linked with actress
Jessica Alba and former tennis ace Martina Hingis.

 

SAMANTHA RICHDALE

Age: 27 Height: 5’ 8”
Residence: Kelowna, Canada
Marital Status: Single
Canadian Samantha Richdale tied for 19th at this
year’s RR Donnelley LPGA Founders Cup for her
best finish on the LPGA Tour. “I continue to work
hard to keep improving in order to get myself into
contention in more events,” says the part-Japanese.
“I love snowboarding but don’t get to do it nearly
enough as I typically find myself in warmer climates
practicing golf!”

 

SHARMILA NICOLLET

Age: 20 Height: 5’ 10”
Residence: Bangalore, India
Marital Status: Single
Sharmila Nicollet is India’s fastest rising
female golfer, recently bagging the sixth
and seventh legs of the Hero Women’s
Professional Tour and assuming
leadership of the season’s Order of Merit.
Describing herself as a shopaholic, the
golfer/model of Indo-French parentage is
into auto sports, gadgets and fashion.

 

 

LUKE CAMPBELL DONALD

Donald became the World No 1 after winning
the BMW PGA Championship in May – and

August. The Aussie’s currently dating
Serbian tennis star Ana Ivanovic.

 

PAIGE MACKENZIE

Residence: Arizona, USA

Recording 22 top-10 finishes during her
collegiate career, Paige Mackenzie tied for
13th at the 2005 US Women’s Open as an
amateur. A business degree holder, the
American managed a career-best tie for eighth
on the LPGA Tour at the 2009 Safeway
